Baranova S. V. Quantitative-qualitative units in the literary discourse

Abstract

The article deals with syntactic qualitative-quantitative units of English in literary discourse. The attention is
paid to their role in discourse cohesion and coherence formation. The participation of quantitative-qualitative
word groups in the correlative connection of utterances is analyzed and their expressive potential in the author’s
discourse is investigated.
