Abstract

The article is devoted to the creative features and spirituality of such poetic talents of the Renaissance of the
20th century as M. Khvylyovyi, V. Sosyura, S. Yesenin, and S. Shumitskyi. Poetic features of the aforementioned
authors are analyzed based on materials of their poetry: "The Way" and "The Introductory short story" by M.
Khvylyovyi; poems, "Snow", "You", "Loyalty", "friendly" prose caricatures, humoresques, and poetic fables by S.
Shumitskyi; verses "None is loved so much" and "Love Ukraine" by V. Sosyura as well as poems by S. Yesenin "I
remember, love, remember" and "The country of scoundrels."
Intertextuality appears a formative element of all levels of prose and poetry. Historical allusion of
M. Khvylyovyi and S. Yesenin, as well as satirical works of S. Shumitskyi, often occur in the form of coded
quotation game, giving a satirical-ironic tones to characters. Solving codes unwittingly causes the recipient to
know the mystery of the real and the fantastic, to create, together with the author, the unfinished word treasures
