Abstract

The article deals with the fixed verbo-nominal phrases which consist of functional verbs with desemantisized meaning and mostly deverbal nouns that are cores of such phrases and with the ordinary fixed phrases that express one meaning and denote one singular act of an action. Such phrases describe mostly an act of speech, a hit, an act of movement or physical or physiological activity, visual apprehension or transit to another state. While the perfective verb by itself denotes the singularity of the respective action in Ukrainian language, the noun in objective case in singular is the main carrier of this semantics in German.
