Abstract

The article deals with the problems of building new words in English and ways of their conveyance into
Ukrainian. Special attention is paid to affixation, blending and stem-composition. Our research distinguishes
transliteration, transcribing, loan translation and explication as possible means of an adequate translation of
lexical innovations into Ukrainian.
