Abstract

The article focuses on the peculiarities of the syntactic processes in the presidential discourse by the example
of Obama’s inaugural speech. The inaugural speech consisting of 112 sentences has been analyzed according to
the syntactic processes and the types of the sentences and their pragmatic peculiarities.
