Abstract

The semantic and structural peculiarities of the phraseological units with cultural semantics in British and
American variants of the English language are described in this article. The most productive groups of
phraseological units with national-cultural component in both variants of the English language are singled out in
the course of analysis. Linguistic and cultural interpretations of their meaning and structure are suggested.
