Abstract

This article focuses on the ideological course of dramatic heritage of O. Dovzhenko. The artist raises such
global problems as the harmony of a man and nature, the transformation of the national mentality of the
Ukrainian peasantry in the thirties of the XXth century due to total collectivization.
