Abstract

The article presents an analytical review of the linguistic metaphorology researches of the second half of the
XXth
– the beginning of the XXIth centuries. The characteristic of the basic schools and urgent problems of
metaphor study within taxonomic and anthropocentric scientific paradigms is given. The traditional and new
aspects of research of Russian metaphors in the light of paradigm changes are noted.
