Abstract

The article is dedicated to genre features of the novel-biography by M. Slaboshpytskiy «Things Recorded in
the Life Book: Mychailo Kotsubynskyi» demonstrating new formations in form and text constructions on
biographical material. Based on the novel biography of M. Kotsyubynskyi it is found out that originality of the
genre «orchestration» of the novel is consonant with stylistic tendencies of this work. The multiplicity of narrative
structures leads to self-narration of the hero and other forms of narration such as heteronarration of the authornarrator and homonarration with individual «voices». The chronotope of M. Slaboshpytskyi’s novel «Things
Recorded in the Life Book: Mychailo Kotsubynskiy» basically forms the space of native home, Kononovka,
Chernihiv and Capri, forming the ragged peculiarity of the arts biography. Intertextuality is presented on the
system of different text relationships (paratextuality, metatextuality, arhitextuality).
