Grosevych Iryna. Elements of gothic in the story “Process (jokes by Gerebets)” by Bohdan Holod

Abstract

In Ukrainian literary gothic as a genre is still not researched enough. However, some of the works or
literary purposes and layers, such as "bizarre prose", give grounds to speak about the existence Ukrainian gothic,
feature creative existence which is a combination of European Gothic tradition of national folklore and fantastic.
In the article schematically considered the figurative level of the Ukrainian literary gothic and determined
elements of gothic in the story «Process (jokes by gerebets)» by Bohdan Holod
