Abstract

The article deals with the research of time and space parametrization in the artistic discourse. The notions
―time‖, ―space‖, and ―artistic discourse‖ are defined, their status in the literary field is comprehended.
Functioning of the considered phenomenon in English literary texts is analyzed on the material of artistic
communicative situations. On the basis of complex approach including the methods of linguoculturological,
discourse, and component analyses time and space characteristics of the artistic discourse are determined. The
detailed description of the existing time and space classifications is suggested. An effort to reveal the dominant
criteria of the artistic phenomenon actualization in the process of communication is performed. Artistic time and
space exteriorizators are considered, special attention is paid to the peculiarities of their combinatorics in
