Abstract

The article describes the translational aspects of interpretation process of the concept
TERRORISM in British and Ukrainian newspaper discourses, namely the use of translation
transformations. It shows detailed analysis of dictionary definitions of concept nominations and
related notions that represent everyday notion of the concept. Particular attention is paid to the
principles of using translation transformations while interpreting naming units that are structural
components of the concept TERRORISM and the causes of this process.
