Abstract

The article deals with the specific features of modern literature. The orientation to mass
consumer as natural and repeated in the history of literature phenomenon, conditioned by objective
social and economical factors, is analyzed. The typical devices and ways, directed at rising of
readers’ interest to work of art, are depicted.
