Trumko O. M. Features of communication in families of Galichian jews in the second half of the 19th century (based on the works of i. Franko)

  • The article reveals the peculiarities of communication between parents and children (father → son, mother → son) in the families of the galician Jews of the second half of the 19th century. The basic ways of realization of communicative strategies of co-operative and confrontational characterization of parent’s speech are determined. The are revealed common and distinctive features of the father → son and mother → son communication. It has been established that the cooperative strategy in the broadcasting of parents to children provides tactics of justification, consent, provision of new information, giving advice, positive assessment, inducement to perform certain actions and encouragement to provide new information; confrontationalities strategy – tactics of refusal, coarse motive, opposition demonstration, irony and negative evaluation. The analysis is based on the material of Ivan Franko’s works.
