Kykot V. M. Implied sense image, symbol and translation

  • The article is devoted to such an important translation theory problem as investigating the ways of creation in original text and reconstruction in translation of a poem implied sense image by means of symbol. Attention is focused on the causes of appear in poetical text of an image implied sense information based on common and author individual symbols as well as on inner textual and outer textual relationship of words-symbols that cause additional sense creation. Providing poetical implied sense adequate translation is viewed as the necessity to completely reconstruct its image components, symbol in particular, and symbol is considered as one of implied sense signal-markers that is formed as a result of lexical unit connotation integration in distant and context situated supra phrasal entities. As a result of recurrent or one time contextual use a lexical unit acquires modal axiological connotation and forms an image-symbol that in its turn becomes a basis of implied sense structure which reconstruction is an essential prerequisite of a poem adequate translation.
